Painted with natural plant and mineral watercolours and gouache and infused with the flower essence of Calendula.

*Due to the fragile nature of the plaster & watercolour, do not display in areas prone to damp (i.e. bathroom, near a kitchen sink, etc.)

A wall hanging wire is fixed to the back of the piece. Alternatively, the painting can be placed on a small wooden easle for display.

I wonder if there is anything so beautiful as the glowing orange of Calendula's velvet blossoms under the gaze of summer's sun...

Calendula's warmth and golden light radiates from her chalice like flowers, as she devotedly turns her head to follow the sun...

... and just as Calendula opens herself to absorb the energy of the sun, her essence invites us to cultivate more receptivity and empathy in our communication with others. Calendula's essence aligns with our solar plexus chakra to aid in our transmitting and receiving of messages...she teaches us deeper listening, with more compassion, tolerance and warmth and helps us to re-open to the light of source energy available to us all.
