Painted with both natural and synthetic watercolours and infused with the flower essence of Lady's Mantle.

Due to the fragile nature of the plaster & watercolour, do not display in areas prone to damp (i.e. bathroom, near a kitchen sink, etc.)

A wall hanging wire has been fixed to the back of this piece. Alternatively, it can be placed on a small wooden easle for display.

Lady's Mantle (Alchemilla vulgaris) with her soft, round, pleated leaves that resemble an old-fashioned cape, cradle her delicate, chartreuse star-shaped flowers, evoking a sense of protection around our connection to the sacred feminine.

If you've ever seen Lady's Mantle in the garden or growing wild, she sparkles like no other, as her ability to hold moisture upon her leaves and retain it throughout the day, distinguishes her from other plants that lose their water through evaporation. Technically speaking, this is not rain or dew, but rather the moisture emanates from the leaves themselves through small pores.  

Her original name "Alchemilla", stems from her past connection to the ancient alchemists who were drawn to the mystical qualities of her "dew", as they believed water droplets collected on leaves were the purest form of water, capable of transmuting base metals into gold.

To this day, Lady's Mantle carries an air of magic. She is also associated with the divine feminine due to her nurturing qualities and symbolic connections to the cycles of life, fertility, and regeneration, as her medicine has long been used by herbalists as a tonic for the womb.

The essence of Lady's Mantle nurtures, strengthens and protects our relationship to the divine feminine.
