Painted with handmade, natural plant & mineral watercolour pigments (Genuine Serpentine Stone, 24ct Gold, Indigo, Meadowsweet, Genista, Woad) and Gouache.

*Due to the fragile nature of the plaster & watercolour paint, do not display in areas prone to damp (i.e. bathroom, near a kitchen sink, etc.)

A wall hanging wire is fixed to the back of the piece. Alternatively, the painting can be placed on a small wooden easle for display.

Lady’s Mantle (Alchemilla vulgaris), with her soft, cape-like leaves and delicate, star-shaped blooms, radiates the magic of the divine feminine. Revered for her nurturing qualities and ancient ties to alchemy, she cradles sacred dew believed to hold the power of transformation. To the alchemists, this dew—glistening at dawn— was a living elixir imbued with celestial energy. They sought it not only for its physical properties but for its spiritual resonance, believing it could unlock the mysteries of nature and transmute the ordinary into the extraordinary.

In the ritual of collecting this "celestial water," practitioners would rise before the first light, moving with reverence among fields where Lady’s Mantle grew in abundance. Each droplet was carefully gathered, a sacred act of devotion and intent containing the essence of the cosmos, binding heaven and earth in liquid harmony.

To work with Lady’s Mantle was to dance with the divine feminine herself, embracing the nurturing power that strengthens the inner light and weaves us back into the endless spiral of creation.
